Filter and sort your designs on the homepage
It’s now easier to find your work from your homepage. The new dedicated Recents page gives you a full view of your recently opened designs and Brand Templates, with filters and sorting to help you quickly find the content you need. Whether it’s something you created or a favorite Brand Template, it’s easier to find in one place.
Filter your Recent content
Users now get a dedicated Recents page where they can browse their recent designs and Brand Templates. Folders aren’t shown in Recents and can still be found in Projects.
- From the homepage, select More, go to Projects, then select Recents. Alternatively, under Continue designing, select See all.
- In the Recent section, choose from the available filters:
- Under type, you choose what type of content to show:
- Any type (default) - see all content types
- Designs - see only design files
- Brand templates - see only brand templates
- Folders - see only folders
- Under type, you choose what type of content to show:
- Under Owner, you can browse different collaborators and filter by their content:
- Any owner (default) - see all content you have access to
- You - see only content you own
- Shared with you - see only content others have shared with you
Sort your Projects
- From the homepage, select More, go to Projects,
- In the All projects section, select the Sort By icon.

- Oldest edited

- Alphabetical (Z-A)
You can change your view to (View as List) or (View as Grid)
Fix filter and sorting issues
My filters reset when I come back to Canva
That’s normal. Filters don’t stick around after you leave. This helps you see all your recent designs when you return.
Things feel a bit slow after applying filters
Using filters means Canva is loading more specific data, which might take a little longer.
Some of my designs aren’t showing in A–Z sort
Alphabetical sorting only applies to your 200 most recently opened designs. If you haven’t opened something in a while, it might not appear here.
I can’t use filters when I’m offline
Filtering and sorting only work when you’re connected to the internet. You’ll see them again when you’re back online.
